The Blue Wild Ocean Adventure Expo, slated for this weekend, April 22nd-23rd of 2017, it’s “where ocean lovers come together,” and will be celebrating their 10th anniversary. The Blue Wild is a show for scuba divers, free divers, spear fishermen, adventure travelers and boaters. It’s expected to see the biggest numbers the show has seen to date.
What started as a charity event has now grown into a full-blown expo due to the demands of vendors and attendees. “I’m thrilled to be celebrating our tenth anniversary this year. We strive to offer an exciting atmosphere where like-minded ocean lovers and watersport enthusiasts of all ages can meet up and socialize. I’ve crafted the expo to be both educational and entertaining where attendees can learn about latest techniques and products, shop for great deals, listen to the best speakers and network with one another,” says Sheri Daye, event Founder. This year’s expo will cover 65,000 square feet of space and host over 160 exhibitors. Crowds will see displays of scuba gear, spear guns, safety equipment, kayaks, SUP’s and art all geared towards the world beneath the water.
This year, attendees have a variety of speakers and workshops to choose from. Cameron Kirkconnell, Spearfishing World Record Holder, will talk Saturday on Freediving Spearfishing Safety followed by Shark Wrangler and TV Personality, Manny Puig who will talk about makos and gators. Other must-see seminars include rescue stories by the United States Coast Guard, multiple spearfishing instructor seminar sessions, predator photography and video editing top tips. For those attendees who have ever wondered how to prepare and cook lionfish, make sure to get to Angie Mazzocco’s workshop on Saturday. If you want to spearfish off your Stand-Up Paddleboard, make sure to see Dr. William Pearce’s, How to Hunt off your SUP.
Nautical Ventures, the “Go-To People for Fun on the Water,” will have an impressive array of Kayaks and SUP’s available at special show pricing for attendees. When it comes to purchasing kayaks or Stand-Up Paddleboards in Fort Lauderdale, Nautical Ventures has been serving the South Florida market for over 30 years. They’ve been helping people in Palm Beach County, Martin County, Broward County and Dade County get on the water to enjoy trouble-free water sports. Remember… you’re not just buying a kayak or SUP from Nautical Ventures – you’re buying the experience.
