Meet the Mangusta GranSport 33…

Mangusta Yachts in Italy has introduced the GranSport 33. The 109-foot yacht will be the smallest yacht in Mangusta’s GranSport range, which also includes 45- and 54-meter models (that are 148 and 177 feet length overall, respectively).

The Mangusta GranSport range is designed for long-range cruising and high-speed performance. Alberto Mancini is the designer.

Construction of the first Mangusta GranSport 33 has just begun, with delivery of Hull No. 1 expected in 2020.

The master stateroom will be on the main deck, and four staterooms will be belowdecks. In the salon, there will be several ceiling-height windows, and two of them will open for natural air. Up on the flybridge will be relaxation areas including a hot tub.

How fast will she go? The Mangusta GranSport 33 will have four 1,000-horsepower Volvo Penta D13 engines coupled to IPS pod drives, allowing for joystick docking and a dynamic positioning system. The builder says the propulsion package is expected to produce a top speed of 26 knots. (Humphree stabilizers are part of the plan too.)
