Austrian builder Frauscher was not playing around when it built the new Frauscher 1017 GT. And that is ironic, because this boat was clearly made for fun. Aside from those eye-popping lines, Bondian colors and beautiful woodwork, the 1017 GT was also born to run. The 33 footer can have optional 430 hp engines that can propel it across the water at speeds that crest that scintillating 50-knot mark. And even at those speeds the dual Z-drives make the boat nimble and easy to handle.
Twin sunpads aft make for an excellent place to soak in some rays while moored in a secluded Mediterranean cove or cruising through the Florida Keys. A large swim platform aft rounds out this vessel’s dayboat bona fides. To be sure, the Frauscher 1017 GT is a boat that makes an impression. So if you want to turn heads this summer, this is one you may want to take a good, long look at.
