Riva Yachts in Italy has unveiled details of the Riva 68′ Diable, which is drawn on the Riva Super America hull. The yacht is expected to debut this summer.

The project is by Mauro Micheli, founder of Officina Italiana Design, in partnership with Sergio Beretta and the Product Strategy Committee led by Piero Ferrari and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department.

One of the main new features is the hardtop, whose linear design hides technical equipment while sheltering the dining area and helm station in the central part of the yacht. The sunroof can open forward or backward.

In the cockpit are two sun pads (one that can be shaded) and a dining space with a Bimini top that can be automatically deployed from the hardtop.

Belowdecks, three en suite staterooms accommodate six guests. There’s also a galley with a dinette.

Power is a pair of 1,550-horsepower V-12 MANs, or 1,650-horsepower V-12 MANs. With the latter package, the yacht reportedly will have a cruising speed of 34 knots and a top-end speed of 40 knots.

What else is new at Riva? The builder just launched the 76′ Perseo Super, which is scheduled to debut this fall at the Cannes Yachting Festival.
