Jimmy Johnson’s Atlantic City “Quest for the Ring” Championship Fishing Week is underway in Atlantic City, New Jersey, with offshore anglers vying for over $1 million in prize money.  With one day left in the competition, basketball G.O.A.T. Michael Jordan and his crew aboard the 71-foot Viking “Catch 23” leads in two of the most competitive categories: Heaviest White Marlin and Catch and Release (Powered by Yamaha).

NBA Hall-Of-Famer Michael Jordan (fourth from left) poses next to the 70-pound white marlin he landed on Wednesday. The fish currently leads the “Heaviest White Marlin” category, while the crew leads the “Catch and Release” category with 1 blue marlin and 5 white marlin. 

The tuna category is currently led by Riptide out of Manasquan Inlet, NJ with a massive 290-pound bigeye tuna. In second place is the Hubris out of Forked River, NJ, with a 208-pound bigeye landed by angler Hunter Gutwein.
